Here's one of our favorite music venues in Massachusetts. It's the Pearl Street Nightclub in Northampon Mass!

The Pearl Street nightclub is nestled in beautiful Northampton Massachusetts. The club is "Downtown", but don't worry, it's not to hard to find parking if you go a bit before the show. There are a few parking lots within a minute walk from the club and also a lot of street parking. There are also some awesome restaurants within a short walk from the club, so if you really want to treat yourself to a nice night, arrive early and grab a meal then go to the show.

The nightclub consists of two music rooms. There is the downstairs and the upstairs. First let's discuss the downstairs. The downstairs has one bar in the back. There is a decent, small stage in the front and the PA system is pretty good. The sound quality depends of course on who is running the equipment the night you go. Local bands and popular indie bands play the downstairs. For instance I've seen many popular punk bands such as Piebald downstairs. It is very easy to get right up against the stage downstairs which is cool.

The upstairs is where the larger acts play. There is where you can catch some awesome shows by big name bands, such as The Misfits, The Black Crowes, etc... There are a few bars upstairs and a large stage with a nice PA system. You can go right up to the stage which is nice. The sound is usually very good in this room.

The shows at Pearl Street are usually fairly priced, and due to the fact you can go right up to the stage, it is easy to feel you get your moneys worth. The bartenders are good here too if you need a basic mixed drink or beer.

Pearl Street is mainly known as a rock, punk, hardcore type of music venue, so if that is what you listen to, you are psyched.
