The Holy Smokes BBQ and Whole Hog House in West Hatfield Massachusetts is definitely the best Barbeque spot you will find in the state. Holy Smokes is housed in an old (1889) Lutheran church completely converted to a small restaurant. It still has the beautiful original windows. The restaurant seats 48 and you sit in padded pews at tables. Definitely a cool atmosphere.

ALL the food at Holy Smokes is delicious. This is top quality BBQ and they have an excellent menu in which everything is homemade (fresh cut french fries....mmm). One of our favorites is the Pulled Pork Sandwich and the Pulled Meat platter. The sides are awesome. The popcorn and fresh made sweet tea are delicious.

You will be hard pressed to find a better BBQ restaurant in all of New England. Try them out - they are slightly out of the way of most travelers, but well worth the trip!
