The Sheraton Colonial Hotel and Golf Club Boston North is located about 12 miles north of Boston. The hotel sits on 220 tree-lined acres and has some interesting features such as an 18-hole PGA-certified golf course, a large fitness center with a heeated, sunlit indoor pool and indoor tennis courts.

The hotel is in good shape and the rooms are nice and comfortable. The lobby is a nice place to hang out. There is a restaurant inside the hotel that is decent, although in our opinion it is always worth trying out restaurants outside of the hotel.

So, the real reason that we like this Sheraton is because of it's proximity to Salem MA! It is only about 10 minutes from Salem and is the perfect place to stay for a visit, especially around Halloween time. Staying in Salem is often expensive and quite hard to do - there aren't really any good size hotels in the town, most being small inns and bed and breakfast style spots. Many are also quite expensive and booked during the halloween season.
